Nota biográfica

Membro do Conselho de Administração do Banco Asiático de Investimento em Infraestruturas; e Professor Auxiliar e Diretor do Mestrado em Gestão do Desenvolvimento do Asian Institute of Management, Filipinas. Previamente, ocupou cargos no Banco Asiático de Desenvolvimento, Banco Europeu de Investimento, Banco Mundial, Comissão Europeia, Conselho da União Europeia, Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros e Agência de Gestão da Tesouraria e da Dívida Pública. Quadro do Gabinete de Planeamento, Estratégia, Avaliação e Relações Internacionais do Ministério das Finanças. Doutoramento em economia pelo ISEG/ULisboa, onde é investigador integrado do Centro de Estudos em África e Desenvolvimento. Palestrante e consultor externo da City University de Macau. Autor de vários livros sobre financiamento do desenvolvimento, comércio internacional e Investimento Direto no Estrangeiro. Co-autor de vários artigos científicos publicados em The World Economy, Applied Econometrics and International Development, Baltic Journal for European Studies, Portuguese Economic Journal, Portuguese Review of Regional Studies, and Journal of Research Administration. Programa executivo em negociação pela John F. Kennedy School of Government da Universidade de Harvard e candidato a nível II do Chartered Financial Analyst®.

Short Biography

Member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank; and Assistant Professor and Director of the Master in Development Management at the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines. Previously, he held positions in the Asian Development Bank, European Investment Bank, World Bank, European Commission, Council of the European Union, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bureau of Treasury and Debt Management. Staff member at the Planning, Strategy, Evaluation and International Relations Office of the Ministry of Finance. D. in Economics from the ISEG-Lisbon School of Economics and Management of the University of Lisbon, where he is a researcher at the Africa and Development Studies Centre. Lecturer and external consultant at the City University of Macau. Author of several books on development finance, international trade and Foreign Direct Investment. Co-author of several scientific articles published in The World Economy, Applied Econometrics and International Development, Baltic Journal for European Studies, Portuguese Economic Journal, Portuguese Review of Regional Studies, and Journal of Research Administration. Executive Program in Negotiation from John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and candidate to level II of the Chartered Financial Analyst®.
