Atual Oficial Sénior de Empréstimos para Operações do Setor Público na América Latina e Caribe no Banco Europeu de Investimento. Doutorado Integrado. Investigador do Centro de Estudos Africanos e de Desenvolvimento do ISEG-Faculdade de Economia e Gestão de Lisboa. Doutorado em Economia pelo ISEG-Faculdade de Economia e Gestão de Lisboa da Universidade de Lisboa. Curso executivo de masterização em negociação pela John F. Kennedy School of Government da Universidade de Harvard. Ex-Professor Associado e Diretor do Programa Acadêmico do Mestrado em Gestão do Desenvolvimento da Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development Management do Asian Institute of Management (AIM). Antigo Professor responsável pelas unidades curriculares de Economia do Desenvolvimento, Macroeconomia e Microeconomia do Desenvolvimento, Preparação e Gestão de Projetos; e f Economia para Inovadores. Autor de dez livros e capítulos de livros sobre financiamento do desenvolvimento, comércio internacional e investimento estrangeiro direto. Short Biography

Current Senior Loan Officer for Public Sector Operations in Latin America and Caribbean at the European Investment Bank. Integrated Ph.D. Researcher at Center for African and Development Studies of ISEG-Lisbon School of Economics and Management. PhD in Economics in ISEG-Lisbon School of Economics and Management of the University of Lisbon. Executive course in mastering negotiation at the John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University. Former Associate Professor and Academic Program Director of the Master in Development Management of the Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development Management of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). Former Professor responsible for the curricular units of Development Economics, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics for Development, Project Preparation and Management; and f Economics for Innovators. Author of ten books and book chapters in development finance, international trade, and foreign direct investment. Co-author of eight scientific articles published in the following SCOPUS peer-reviewed academic journals: The World Economy, Journal of International Development, Applied Econometrics and International Development, Asian Perspectives, Baltic Journal of European Studies, Portuguese Economic Journal, Portuguese Review of Regional Studies and Journal of Research Administration. Former Alternate Executive Director at the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and of the Asian Development Bank. Currently on leave as Senior Advisor for Budget and Public Finances at the Office for Economic Policy and International Affairs of the Finance Ministry in Portugal.
