Professor Catedrático Convidado, ISEG (desde 2017), Professor Associado da Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, Maputo (1992-2012). Fundador (2007) e ex-diretor (2007-2012) do Instituto de Estudos Sociais e Económicos (IESE), Maputo. Investigador no IESE (desde 2007) e no CEsA (desde 2017). Áreas de investigação: sistemas de acumulação de capital, financeirização, industrialização e política industrial, com foco geográfico em Moçambique e na África Austral. Membro da Academia de Ciências de Moçambique, da Associação Moçambicana de Economistas, da Associação Portuguesa de Economia Política. |

Short Biography | PhD in Economics (School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, 2001), MSc in Development Economics (University of Oxford, 1997), MA in Industrial Development (University of East Anglia, Norwich, 1992), Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Economics (University of East Anglia, Norwich, 1991), Diploma in Development Studies (Eduardo Mondlane University, Maputo, 1981). Visiting Full Professor, ISEG (from 2017), Associate Professor Eduardo Mondlane University, Maputo (1992-2012). Founder (2007) and former director (2007-2012) of the Institute for Social and Economic Studies (IESE), Maputo. Researcher at IESE (since 2007) and at CEsA (since 2017). Areas of research: systems of capital accumulation, financialization, industrialization and industrial policy, with geographic focus on Mozambique and Southern Africa. Member of the Mozambican Academy of Sciences, of the Mozambican Association of Economists, of the Portuguese Association of Political Economy. |
