Nota biográfica

Ana Luísa Silva é doutoranda em Estudos do Desenvolvimento no ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, Universidade de Lisboa, professora convidada no ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management e no ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, e professora auxiliar na Forward College. Tem formação em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais (NOVA FCSH, 2007) e obteve um mestrado em Estudos de Desenvolvimento pela London School of Economics and Political Science em 2009. Ana é investigadora e profissional com quase 15 anos de experiência profissional no domínio da cooperação internacional para o desenvolvimento, da sociedade civil e da inovação e tecnologia. Para além da experiência no planeamento, implementação e avaliação de soluções inovadoras com ONG internacionais em vários países da África Subsariana, nos últimos cinco anos tem vindo a desenvolver a sua investigação de doutoramento sobre inovação em organizações e redes não governamentais de desenvolvimento. Foi também co-fundadora da Oficina Global, uma iniciativa de investigação para a ação que liga organizações da sociedade civil ao meio académico.

Short Biography

Ana Luísa Silva is a PhD candidate in Development Studies at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon, a visiting Professor at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management and at ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, and an Assistant Professor at Forward College. She has a background in Political Science and International Relations (NOVA FCSH, 2007) and she earned an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2009. Ana is both a researcher and practitioner with almost 15 years of professional experience in the field of international development cooperation, civil society, and innovation and technology. In addition to experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating innovative solutions with international NGOs in several countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, for the last five years she has been carrying out her PhD research on innovation in non-governmental development organizations and networks. She also co-founded Oficina Global, a research to action initiative to connect civil society organisations with academia.
