Director of CEsA among the 50 authors invited to contribute chapters to the book ‘Tourism in 50 Years of Democracy’

The researcher and Director of CEsA (CSG/ISEG-ULisboa), and professor at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ULisboa), Professor Eduardo Moraes Sarmento, is one of the 50 specialists featured in the book Tourism in 50 Years of Democracy, published by Pactor with the support of the Commission for the 50th Anniversary of the 25th of April Celebrations.

Organised by António Abrantes and prefaced by António Barreto, this work brings together 50 authors and their reflections on the journey of tourism in Portugal during the first 50 years of democracy, exploring its various dimensions, evolution, and contributions to the country, society, and economy.

Launch

The book launch for Tourism in 50 Years of Democracy took place on 16 December at 6:30 pm at the Geographical Society of Lisbon (Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, no. 100).

 

The collection was presented by the lawyer, analyst, and political commentator José Miguel Júdice, with contributions from the Secretary of State for Tourism, Pedro Machado, the Executive Commissioner of the Mission Structure for the Celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of the April 25, 1974 Revolution, Maria Inácio Rezola, the book organiser, António Abrantes, and the representative of the publisher Pactor, Frederico Annes.
