Brief Biography

With a background in Economics and a master’s degree in Environmental Economics from the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto, Diogo Maia is a young professional with an already extensive experience, having participated in several consulting projects for international financial institutions and governments in Africa (Mozambique, Malawi and Rwanda), South America (Brazil) and Europe (Portugal) in the fields of Development Studies and Environmental Management. He recently started a research career in CeSA and joined the PhD in Development Studies at ISEG (Lisbon), where he has been focusing on the theme of economic development and structural change in Developing Countries, with special attention in the areas of industrialization and financialisation.
